House in rural village

A single family house designed within the limits of strict local regulations. The site is located in the centre of a well-preserved village, and surrounded by a number of thatched half-timber houses.

The house blend in with the neighborhood by taking on the geometrical features of surrounding houses: the basic shape, steep roof, punctuated facades etc. The house, however, makes no excuse for being a new build.
